The Oneday Hanbok staff were very nice and friendly, not only in the helping to put on the hanbok, they also helped me in making my selection. I was not really sure what I wanted because there were so many to choose from. The staff really helped me to find the hanbok for me. I told them I prefer pink or purple.
The shop does not offer hair styling services or makeup but they provide free hair accessories and hair styling tools like flat iron and curling iron that you can use.
To complete the whole look, you get to choose your own purse and hair accessories. Since I wanted my hair to be simple, I picked out this beautiful flower headband for my hair accessory.
I finally settled on this purple hanbok with a golden olive green skirt! The staff in the shop helped me in choosing my size. It fits me perfectly!
My hanbok theme was color purple, so I decided to pick this purse.

What to Wear during Hanbok Rental
Here’s some tips on what you need to wear:
- You will be wearing the hanbok over your clothes.
- Please avoid turtleneck clothing and thick sweater during the hanbok experiece, it will be bulky and not aesthetically pleasing.
- They really suggest to wear a light colored short sleeved shirt.
- Don’t forget to wear a really comfortable pants and shoes because you will be walking a lot around the palace.
I went in Seoul last November. It was in the fall season but to be honest, it was really freezing and cold that day (-2 degrees). I wore a white heattech 3/4 sleeve and jeans under my hanbok. To be comfortable, I really suggest if it’s really cold that you rent an additional hanbok vest or fur faux that looks like in the picture below. It’s really pretty too!

How To Reserve Your Hanbok
I really recommend that you book in advance before going to the any rental shop in order to ensure that everything goes according to your plan. Yes, OneDay will accomodate Walk-ins but sometimes you’ll be waiting for hours until your turn. It’s really important that you book in advance! I made a reservation one month prior to my trip via email. Their customer service was really good and very responsive. Sangjun Lee is the one who answered to my endless inquiries. He was so nice, patient, and friendly. He is also very fluent in English! If you wish to make a reservation, you may email or message them in facebook.

Hanbok experience was definitely one of my favorite things I did in Seoul! I would recommend doing this activity in autumn, spring, and summer. I think it will be way too cold during winter to wear a hanbok while strolling. If ever you’re planning to go to Korea, I highly suggest you try wearing a hanbok too! It’s really worth it for the experience and memories! Annyeong haseyo 안녕하세요
